Performance evaluation system
The performance appraisal system works in an organization when it helps to involve each employee in achieving work goals, allows talking about the content of their work and therefore feel strong and safe when motivated, "starts", helps to feel a meaningful part of the organization's mechanism.
The operation of the system is ensured by:
- Its adaptation to the actual use of managers, but not to the formal possession of a common tool, when the system and procedures are adapted to the organization, adequate periodicity is provided, quality information documents, descriptions, instructions, people are prepared.
- The system of organizing annual interviews has an owner, the responsibilities of managers and involvement are real.
- The competence of managers to evaluate performance is good, there is their team coordination.
- The competence of the staff involved in performance appraisal to assess and plan their activities is sufficient.
- The improvement of the performance appraisal system is actually taking place, feedback is being collected, surveys are being organized, the results are being analyzed and corrections are being made, and the results are being communicated.
