Focus group research
A focus group is a group of research discussions focused on a specific topic, which is specifically organized, of limited size (6-10 people). Exploratory conversation - a discussion takes place for the purpose of exploring opinions, ideas, attitudes on a commissioned topic. It is one of the popular qualitative researches, which provide opportunities to grasp the authentic thoughts, deeper attitudes, beliefs and their reasons of the research participants, to capture the authentic ideas of the participants and the different directions of opinions arising in their mutual discussions and collisions. Research, revealing the qualitative content of a topic, often becomes the primary research and is the basis for choosing the direction of development of new ideas, allows further construction of quantitative surveys, as well as the development of services and products.
The study participants are selected according to the intended characteristics, the study consists of several focused groups. The group is led by a professional moderator according to a pre-arranged structure. The duration of one group is 1-3 hours, depending on the content and goals of the study, a video is made. Report - qualitative analysis, conclusions.
